1. THE
CARBURETORS HAD TO BE
CLEANED
This is an immaculate
well cared for snowmobile that did have some carb issues from
lack of use and rotten fuel.
a) She ran a little poorly until the carbs were done.
b) Having been out of service for several years our 600 had not received the constant seasonal service necessary to
keep a small engine powered toy alive!
c) Was with semi plugged carbs . As a interesting test I added
generous amounts of Sea brand fuel conditioner to the fuel
and started the sled repeatably for several months after
purchase. Gradually it was noticeable that instead of only
running with the fuel enrichment flowing slightly , that finally
once fully warmed up in summer temperatures the sled would idle
on its own pretty much. Once cooler fall temps prevailed it was
game over, consistently a poor lean idle no matter how much the
sled was warmed up.
