 | Running like a Deere may no longer apply
 | The ride to Birch Hills was plenty entertaining, a number of
impromptu drag races erupted into “a little longer field to
field racing”. The resulting bottom line was the 121 inch and a
quarter?.. 800 twin cats, had the ol’

				Storm
				off the line every
time. The Storm was stock with an ¾ inch…?....original track and
wasn’t great out of the hole, BUT by the time these sleds
reached 100 to 15 KM an hour, the Storm blew by the Cats like
they were standing still. This lead to some good natured cat
calls! etc etc, and as anyone could imagine running field to
field many irrigation type canals and slough bottoms where dived
into by accident “off and on”...."in and out of" the rest of the
				day.

Carbides are everything, when your riding some hard packed
ditches and back roads. Back in St. Louis for fuel, it was
getting late and we had just ditched it pretty much all the way
				from Birch Hills.
