YAMAHA Triple 700
VMax PARTS SLED
Purchased May 2016
-
We
salvaged this RED HEAD Triple
for our
Blue Max Project.
-
The Shocks (3
out of 4) were used
-
The nice 121
x 1.5 track was shelved until
This
SXT
project
came along.

The Good...
Sometimes you have to ask yourself
"Did
I get lucky?"
We use this engine in this
Blue Max Project.

Manifold bolt replaced by domestic STD |

Manifold bolt
missing, at least I don't have to Helicoil this hole
back to metric threads. |

...the Bad
Sometimes you have to ask yourself
"Did
I get lucky somehow again?"
...and the Ugly
Sometimes you have to ask yourself
"WHat
is this MAn??"
I salvaged the track from
this parts sled,
and used it
Here!

I had this Camoplast/Polaris

SXT
project.

Fake |

This shock absorber was salvaged but
absolutely everything around it was junked!
|
M.I.A., and fake! |

Bent
|

This the front skid
frame shock. It was not salvageable. Everything around
it was bent or crushed. |

Evidence of some welding to rebuild
the cover damaged from loose internals floating around.

|

I have found this
same bolt off in an OEM application...shit happens. |

When the chain tensioner bolt is
turned this far in you can only imagine one of two
things:
- The chain is stretched beyond belief,
- or the sprockets have been swapped out and "long
of chain" has been used.
